Blog Commenting Strategies - - Why You Should Comment on High Page Rank Blogs

Diposting oleh Admin on Jumat, 12 Agustus 2011

If you're a blogger and want to learn how to create leads, drive traffic and increase your blogs SEO and page rank, keep reading. This article will teach you how to use blog commenting properly. In order to blog comment effectively, here are some factors that you must consider.
1. Relevancy. In order to raise your SEO or drive traffic back to your site, you want to comment only on blogs that are relevant to yours. If you blog about network marketing and related topics be sure to comment on blogs in your niche(s). Backlinks from relevant blogs will give you much more "link juice" than a blog comment on a non-related topic. Make it a part of your daily ritual to comment on a number of relevant blogs.
Here are some ways to find and manage lists of relevant blogs in your niche.
a. Google Reader. Allows you to find and maintain lists that show recent blog post topics on the blogs you choose. This makes it easy to find blog posts to comment on. It's easy to find, just Go to Google and Google it.
b. Google your "keyword" + blog. You'll get a list of blogs to choose from in your niche to comment on. Be sure to create a CSV file or excel spread sheet with the list of blogs for easy use later.
2. Be First. When choosing a blog to comment on try to be one of the first people to comment. You will get a lot more exposure and possible visitors to your site than if you're commenter #234. Additionally, you're more likely to get the blog poster's attention, which could lead to good things in the future, like guest blogging.
3. Personal Branding. In order to use this strategy effectively, you need to brand yourself in the process. Be unique and interesting. Be sure to use your own voice and help people solve their problems. You can set yourself up as an authority or expert, by blog commenting effectively.
a. Use an avatar or photo. Register at Gravatar.com in order to create an avatar or photo of yourself that will appear on each blog comment you make. I can't tell you how important this is. Don't be part of the faceless crowd of commenters. You'll get more responses with a picture.
b. Set Yourself Apart. Don't post boring, uninteresting posts like most people do. Use your own voice, ideas, experience and expertise. Be original and interesting. A sense of humor always helps.
4. Make Quality Comments. Here's another important tip, be sure to read the post and some of the comments before posting. Make sure to leave a valuable comment. Don't just leave a message like most people do like, "great post dude." Make valid points regarding the issues, whether you agree or disagree. I always like to ask questions, to get discussions started. These are some of the basics of how to effectively blog comment. Tricks To Dominate Google's Search Engine

Diposting oleh Admin

How would you like to know the tricks that many gurus won't tell you about how they dominate Google? Did you know that in order to dominate Google the one thing you have to know about is SEO (search engine optimization)? Something that you must understand is that in order to get to the top of the search engine you need to get a lot of links pointing to your website. Most people think content is key but the truth is that links are kind and your content is the queen.
SEO Tactics To Dominate Google
Forum Posting - One thing that I always do with new websites is forum postings and the reason is because they are quick and sometimes they bring in a good amount of traffic. If you want to make sure that your links count then one of the things I suggest is that you make sure the forum offers dofollow links.
Guest Blogging - One thing that a lot of people don't know that much about is guest blogging. One of the things you need to know about guest blogging is that you have to write great content of the other bloggers will not use your articles. Something that I highly recommend is that you write 1 good article per day, don't spend a day trying to write 10-20 articles because odds are they will not be that good. If you want to make sure you rise up the search engine over time then you should write at least 3 posts per week and keep that going for at least 2 months.
Link Directories - Something else you can do to dominate Google is to use a link directory and submit your link to them. What many people love about link directories is they don't take that long to submit links to and they are almost all free. What most people don't realize is that a web link directory will give you the opportunity to build links quickly and efficiently without having to spend hours writing content or trading links with other bloggers. Just know that in order to effectively build links you need to start now and build a certain amount of links every single day.
H2 Tags -If you want to do some onpage SEO then H2 tags will be the best place to start. The nice thing about using H2 tags is that you can really target certain words. A lot of people out there know about H1 tags but the truth is that H2 tags are just as important. If you are going to use H2 tags then you need to make sure that you do it right.
The final thing you need to know is that in order to dominate Google you have to start now. The first thing I would recommend doing is either forum posting or link directories because they are the easiest things to do.

3 Smart Tips for Successful SEO Campaigning

Diposting oleh Admin

Poor knowledge can prevent you from delivering promised results. While working on a particular project, most webmasters opt for usual SEO tactics like rewriting URLs and title tags and researching about keywords.
Despite required measures however, traffic drops and the project fails. This is because, most times, newbie webmasters do not research about the target audience, nor find out whether the site was catering to the needs of the audience.
For successful SEO strategies, pay importance to criteria such as fresh content, powerful page element optimization and detailed research about keywords. Of course, when you have hired professional SEO services to increase visitors, it is natural to expect results quickly. However, remember that ethical SEO campaigns will require time and patience.
To ensure that you do not commit the mistakes that are common in SEO campaigning, read on...
Keyword research is crucial- SEO experts agree that keyword research plays a crucial role in enhancing popularity of your site. The first step is to research for general keywords, then divide them into primary (most important and relevant) keywords and secondary (important and relevant) keywords. This will help you to uncover many keyword opportunities. In addition, it will help you to discover the targeted keywords that can be converted and ranked easily.
Pay attention to the content- Fresh and eye-catching content is the secret to get top search engine rankings. Avoid content that is of poor quality, copied or modified from other sites. Provide information that can be of some value to the readers. In addition, modify the content according to the requirements of the target audiences.
Let us assume that you have a health site and your target audiences are the seniors. If your research reveals that the older adults are interested in knowing about remedies for back pains, provide information related to these topics. Make your articles interesting by including FAQs, graphs, and fact sheets. Remember that useful content will provide the search engines a clear idea about your site and encourage the webmasters to link to your site.
Page element optimization plays an important role - Experts agree that HTML's optimization plays a crucial role in the success of the SEO campaign. Pay attention to the following elements:
Page title- The first step is to incorporate the targeted keywords in the page title. Remember that the title must be powerful and should be 64-70 characters long. Do not opt for a string of keywords. Placing the targeted keywords in the title is important, but it should not be a forced attempt. Remember that an attractive title will encourage the readers to visit your site.
Page Headings- Opt for H1, H2, and H3 tags and create the page heading correctly. Do not forget to include the targeted keywords. While you can use H1 tags to use for the main page heading, utilize H2 and H3 for preparing content subheadings.
Finally, remember that you may opt for smart strategies to increase your site traffic, but old-fashioned hard work is important at the end of the day. If you hire any SEO services company, discuss with them about your requirements and expectations.

14 Ways to Make Your Visitors Come Back

Diposting oleh Admin on Kamis, 14 Juli 2011

One of the most important things that we need to do is to get traffic to our website. Not just any old traffic though, we need to get targeted traffic. Equally important is to get those visitors to come back to our website again and again and to also tell other people about us so that they come and visit.
Here are 14 things that you can implement on your site to not only get visitors to come back but to also spread the word about your great website:
1. Your home page should contain detailed information about what your site is all about. The worst thing you can do is to bring people to your gardening site and talk about fly fishing.
2. You need to have great content on your site. You only get one shot to make a good impression. If you content sucks, your visitors won't stay and they won't come back.
3. You need to have easy navigation on your website. A goof format is to have a site menu at the top, bottom or on the side of every page. That way, your visitors can easily navigate between the different categories on your site.
4. The links on your site should be labeled correctly. If you have a link to a resource about "linking strategies", don't send your visitors to a link about "copy writing".
5. Make your site easy to read. If you have black text on a very light background, that is the best format for reading. Some people say that light text on a dark background works too, but I prefer the black text on a very light background.
6. Make sure that you have a good color scheme for your site. If you have a gardening site, you may want to use green and brown colors. Just don't use colors that clash because those colors can be very disturbing and distracting.
7. The pages on your website should all follow the same format. You want your site to be uniform and not hodge-podge.
8. Make sure that your pages consist of a layout that will work for all screen resolutions. Don't make your pages too wide so that people have to scroll back and forth. Likewise, don't make your pages too long so that people have to scroll down too much.
9. Your website needs to work for all of your visitors. So, if your site contains a lot of graphics or animation and flash movies, these will take a lot of time to load. Some people are still using a dial-up connection and may not be able to load your pages. Use graphics and flash sparingly on your site. Too much would make it look tacky.
10. When you are creating your pages, make sure that they are compatible with the most-used browsers; Firefox, Internet Explorer and Mozilla. People use different browsers when they are searching the web so if your website is compatible with these three, you will be fine.
11. Use plug-ins sparingly. Some browsers do not accept some plug-ins. If your site contains a lot of plug-ins, your site may not be visually appealing.
12. When you use graphics on your site, make sure that they are high resolution. This is extremely important if you are selling products on your site. There is nothing worse than looking at a fuzzy photo of something you want to buy.
13. And, of course, the all-important - test before you publish. As with anything you do on your website, pull it up as if you were a visitor and go through everything. Read the text, click on the links, and pull up all of the pages. That way, if you do have a problem on your site, you will find it before a visitor does.
14. Let's say that you don't know anything about html or website design and you don't want to know anything about it. Hire a good web designer to build your site. There are also templates that you can use. You can buy these online. Just do a search for website templates.
To summarize, your site needs to be updated for relevant content on a regular basis and the navigation needs to work properly. Use graphics and flash sparingly and make sure that your navigation works properly. If you don't think your site is up to snuff, give it an overhaul. If you are using word press, change the theme or the color scheme. You can also change the graphics or the header to give your site a fresh look.

What Are The Most Common Web Content Writing Mistakes?

Diposting oleh Admin on Jumat, 08 Juli 2011

One of the biggest ways to draw in steady streams of traffic to any website is through quality web content articles. They can be posted as web content; blog content; as an Ezine article or a Ehow guide. In any case, creating and publishing these articles is vital to the positive statistics of your website visitors.

However, when putting together web content either on your own or for someone else, there’s quite a few common mistakes that pass right by unnoticed. If you know what they are, you’ll be a lot more ready to actually catch them and stop them as they come.

Mistake #1: Grammar, Spelling, and Punctuation. Maybe you saw this one coming: but when you’re actually creating your web content, what seems to be the easiest-to-avoid error can be your downfall. Many websites have web content with 20 or 30 run-on sentences. Make sure you don’t just write the web content; you need to proofread it as well to avoid this #1 common mistake.

Mistake #2: Changing voices. Throughout your web content article, it’s not hard to suddenly go from “I” to “them” or “you” to “her.” Stay in the first, second, or third person, whichever one you choose. If you’re not consistent, your reader will be left scratching their heads as to who you are referring to.

Mistake #3: Too much hype. Everyone writes web content for a purpose, right? Maybe you’re promoting your newest line of kitty treats. If you are the writer, you will probably want to write all about the product. Just how great it is; how cute the shapes are; the amazing ingredients; and so on. But beware: your reader will quickly leave your web content if it is only promotional. Readers want to obtain something from what they read. They don’t want to waste time reading a sales pitch.

To avoid this common mistake, think of what value you can offer your reader. Instead of it being all about your kitty treats, transfer the subject to “Nutritional Cat Foods” and promote your line in the last sentence. Let your reader know what foods can harm a kitty; and why your ingredients are important.

Mistake #4: Too broad. Your reader wants to get specific. They came to your web content article because of the title: and if you start going out broadly with no general direction, as is a common easy mistake to make when writing web content, they’ll soon be turned away from reading your content.

How To Attract Visitors To Your Blog (At No Cost)

Diposting oleh Admin

So, you have a blog. The problem is you don’t have enough readers. Maybe you’re paying to post great content: maybe you write it yourself. If you aren’t getting the attention you need, here are a few helpful tips that will increase your blog traffic and get some eyes on your updated content. Best of all, they’re free and easy to do!

Visitor Attraction Tip #1: Networking. Here, it can be as simple as getting out to meet your neighbors. And I’m not talking about the people down your street. Who’s in your niche? Who is in the social forums? Get connected to people you might relate to by posting in relevant forums and making friends. Don’t forget the relatives. Email all your friends and family your new blog.

Visitor Attraction Tip #2: Be a Blog Reader. A great blog writer is also a blog reader. What’s your competition? How can you succeed like they are? Scoring a post inside a popular blog can get you really high traffic wise: look into being a guest blogger. Comment on blogs that are inside your topics. This is a great way to get noticed by people who might be interested in what you have to offer. It’s free and easy and it works. However, the only catch is to give out comments that actually read more than “I agree!”

Visitor Attraction Tip #3: Link Love. Blog owners (other than yourself) watch their blog like a hawk; they’ll notice immediately if someone links to them. This will lead to a lovely friendship. Be aware of other opportunities your readers might be into; instead of getting them to stay on your blog, talk to the people they are going to.

Visitor Attraction Tip #4: Promote. You’ll never get around this one. Without promotion, I hate to say it, you’re really going nowhere. Put your blog url on every place that will get noticed. Think about flyers, business cards, letterheads, and a link in every email you send out.

Visitor Attraction Tip #5: SEO. Here’s another one you can’t ignore if you want the search engines to pick up on your blog. Whatever niche or subject you’re into, your blog content should be optimized so that someone searching for a relevant keyword on your topics will come eventually to your blog through Google. Don’t go crazy with the keywords, but incorporate them at a good density in each post.

What Kind of Website Content Ranks High On Google?

Diposting oleh Admin

Keywords are typed into Google's search box at the rate of millions every day. What's the result? Unless you typed in a ten word search phrase, the result is probably over a million pages of website content results. And what is the chance of you heading to the millionth page? Well - one in a million.
Today, the website content that rank at the top of Google aren't the keyword stuffed, nonsensical content that most people imagine. Ranking at the top of Google's content kings are simple websites that have well written and solid amounts of content. These are what makes it to number one in the search results. Back then, it may have been the stuffed keywords that hit page #1; but the algorithm is changing. Google is only ranking valid sites that aren't written because of a search engine. More and more, their robots are putting human readers into the equation.
Success Features for Website Content
More and more, Google is able to find good sites that have readable, well written content, and will put those as the foremost result. However their technical process is constructed, it seems to only pull out the good content for first page search results. If you want to rank high on Google, you need good content. It's as simple as that. But what is all included in good content?
Here are the seven rules for your website content to rank high on Google:
1. Update your content. Here's what Google is looking for. If you are frequently adding content to your website - at least one time a week - the chances of you ranking high in their results are much, much better. This is where blogs and articles come in handy.
2. Grammar. Try to stay away from all grammatical errors. Interestingly, the Google bots are becoming smarter: anything that looks like gibberish won't be chosen by the spiders. We don't know exactly Google's process, but it certainly looks like they use a spellchecker when looking for results.
3. Shorter is better. Break up your content. Don't go for one long paragraph. List your services in a numbered format. Have a list make up some of your website content text. Go for brief sentences in less than 10 words.
4. Relevant content. Okay, so it does include a little SEO. And don't go for just one keyword alone. Terms that are related to the keyword (secondary or cousin keywords) are also in the SEO equation.

On Page SEO: 10 Critical Factors You Can Apply

Diposting oleh Admin on Jumat, 01 Juli 2011

How can you get your site to rank for a number of specific keywords in the search engine? There are generally 2 parts in SEO, on page SEO and off page optimization. On page SEO focuses on the content on your site, including the relevancy of your content, the format and structure of your content. Off Page optimization simply about the numbers and quality of backlinks with specific anchor text to your site. Each backlink represents a vote to your site. Here I just focus on on page SEO since this is the first thing you need to do before you start your off page optimization as it will greatly help you to gain an advantage in the SEO battle field.

On Page SEO
There are hundreds if not thousands of algorithm that Google uses to determine the ranking of your site. Also, Google almost improves and updates its algorithm everyday. This makes it almost impossible to crack the Google algorithm black box. However, there are some critical factors for the on page optimization based on the industry practice and my personal experience, that will help your site to get ranked on the top of search engine result pages.

1. Domain Name
This is considered as a very important on page factor. Your site will be ranked easily if you have your keyword in your domain name. Ideally, you would want an exact match keyword in your domain. For example, if the keyword you would like to rank for is "dog training", you would want your domain to be DogTraining.com. What happen if the domain name is not available? You can try to register.net or.org. If the domain is still not available, consider adding a suffix to it, such as DogTrainingTips.com. Can you add a prefix in front (such as MyDogTraining.com)? Based on my experience, it is better to add suffix (i.e. have your keyword appear first) to have the on page optimization leverage.

2. Keyword in URL
Let's say you have an article or a post about dog training product review. You would want the keyword appear in the URL, such as:
DogTrainingTips.com/Dog-Training-Product-Review
You might notice that some of the page just display an ugly URL such as DogTrainingTips.com/p=561?. Comparing these 2 URL, which one do you think Google will like? Of course the first one as it is more meaningful to have the keyword in the URL than a random number. Remember that Google rank the website based on the relevancy of your content. So, you would want your content to be easily identified by Google.
If you are using WordPress as your blogging platform, you can easily put our keyword in your URL by changing the permalink structure. Just go to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks. Under Common Settings, check "Custom Structure" and put in /%postname%/.
This will make your post name as your URL instead of the?123 ugly link. So, make sure that you put in your keyword such as"Dog-Training-Product-Review" (in this example) as your blog post title.

3. Keyword in the Title, Description and Keyword Meta Tag
The keyword should be placed in the title, description and keyword meta tag.
You should have your keyword placed in those 3 meta tags field and have a compelling title & description in order to attract more click through from the search results. Do not simply stuff lots of keyword into those meta tag field just simply for the SEO purpose as this is considered as keywords spam.
You can use a free WordPress plugin - "All-In-One-SEO Pack" to help you easily set this up without touching the html code. Once you activate the plugin, you can add in the meta title, description and keywords under Posts > Add New
Ideally, the keyword should be placed at the beginning of the Title. If your keyword is "dog training tips", put in "Dog Training Tips - 8 Ways To Train Your Dog" in your title rather than "8 Dog Training Tips To Help You To Train Your Dog".

4. Keyword in HEADING Tags
In HTML, heading tags are used to organize the site's content and structure. There are h1, h2...all the way to h6.
Heading is a great way to be used to organize your content so that it is easy to navigate by the readers. Spend some time to use different headings in your content with your keyword at the beginning of your Heading.

5. Keyword Density
Ideally, you should have a keyword density of 2% to 5%. For example if your blog post is 500 words in total, there should be around 10 to 25 keywords in your blog post. Again, do not simply add keywords into your post so that you achieve the keyword density. Eventually, your post must be read by human, not just for search engine bots.

6. Keyword in the First and Last Sentence
The keyword position does play a role so try to put your keyword in the first and last sentence of your blog post or article.

7. Bold, Italicize and Underline your Keyword
Basically, the rationale behind is to let Google know that the bold, italicized and underlined keyword is the one that you pay attention in your blog post. Hence Google should also target these keyword.

8. Image Should Contain Keyword
How does Google recognize the images you put on your site? They can't read image so they will rely on the description of the image.
The first description is the file name of the image and the 2nd description is the ALT tag. Based on the description, Google will then know the image is related to the keyword you specified.

9. Internal Linking of Your Blog Post
Apart from external backlinks, internal linking does play an important role in on page SEO. This can be achieved by

 1. At the bottom of each blog post, include links to related articles within the particular keyword theme.
 2. Linking some keywords within the blog post body to your other relevant blog posts.

There is a free WordPress plugin that can assist to put in relevant post at the end of each blog post. You can just download "Yet Another Related Posts Plugin" and start playing around with it.

10. Add NoFollow Tags to Unimportant Links
We have complete control over our website's outbound link. So, do not point a link to a link farm or junk site as this will definitely affect the page ranking badly. Also, Any link point to "About Us" & "Contact Us" page should be no follow as well. This will help to conserve internal link juice. All you do is to add a NoFollow Tag.
Above mentioned are 10 critical factors to effective on page SEO and you can easily apply to your site immediately. However, do bear in mind that the purpose of your content on your site ultimately is read by human. So make sure it is naturally readable while pleasing the search engine.
Now you are familiar with these 10 critical factors for on page SEO, you can go and implement to your website and I am sure you will see ranking improvement to your site.
If you're sick and tired of getting the same old boring advice to help you rank in Google, but yet you have no idea what to do, where to start, etc...then you found the right person. I'll show you how to dominate Google with my powerful SEO strategies. This will be an enjoyable and fun process, gear towards massive action taking.

7 steps how to do keyword research

Diposting oleh Admin on Kamis, 09 Juni 2011

Doing proper keyword research is vital and should be your first step to building a strong foundation for your search engine optimization or any of your online marketing because if you get this step wrong, everything else you do later on can come crashing down around you.
Proper keyword research can be broken down into seven simple steps or phases
Brainstorming Phase:
The brainstorming phase can be described as the step where you identify your perfect audience and then properly survey your perfect audience to identify the specific keywords and keyword phrases that they will be using to search for the products or services that you offer on your website.
Categorizing Phase:
During the categorizing phase, we will break down our keywords and keyword phrases into specific themes. Examples could be specific products or model numbers of products that your customers are searching for. Or perhaps the problems or concerns that your customers are looking for you to solve.
Keyword Research Phase:
Typically allot of Internet Marketers jump right into this phase of the process of keyword research by firing up some new fancy keyword research tool without having any clue who they are speaking too and what message they should be presenting to their audience, thus they fail.
And as there are allot of keyword research tools out there in the market, some free and some that have a subscription, we are often asked which tool we would recommend.
Well that depends and I’ll explain it this way.
Just as an auto mechanic has various tools in his toolbox that he can choose from to do his job properly, to be successful online you should have a toolbox complete with the proper tools to do your job right. Now I am not saying that you should go out and buy every new SEO tool that comes down the road, no!
What I am saying that as you progress in your journey and learn SEO and Keyword Research with us, we will point out the various features of the various keyword tools that we will be teaching you. If you find that a certain feature of a certain tool fits your needs, then add it to your toolbox. If it doesn’t fit your needs then simply move on.
During your SEO Training you will also discover that many of the free tools that we will be sharing with you also have the same, if not better features of some of the paid tools.
Review Phase:
In the review phase we will be compiling our lists of keywords into a spreadsheet then sorting them, categorizing them based upon the level of search, the competitiveness level and the relevancy to your website.
You’ll discover in this phase that many of the keywords that had come up in your brainstorming or through your keyword research just are not worth the time or effort in targeting because they may not have enough search volume, or that no one searching for them, or the competition for those words is through the roof and that are more profitable long tail keywords that you could target instead.
Selection Phase:
After you whittled away at your keyword list in the review phase, you will often still find yourself with a list of hundreds, if not thousands of keywords that you have to choose from, that is why many Internet Marketers say that this fifth phase is one of the hardest for them to master.
Well it really shouldn’t be once you understand a few key issues;
First off you’re probably realizing the fact that there aren’t enough hours in a day, let alone a month, to properly optimize your website for all the keywords that you have on your list.
Therefore make it easy on yourself, remember my rule of five.
5 keywords = 5 articles + five hours a week
What I mean by this is that for each keyword that you will be initially optimizing your website for you should be writing a minimum of one article a week for your website and spending at least an one hour a week obtaining onsite links and off site links to that page.
Now I understand that some keywords will be harder for you to optimize for then others, that is why I also recommend that you include a couple root keywords for your long term investment along with a few long tail keywords that you can quickly optimize for that hopefully will start paying out in the short term.
As your long tail begin paying you the dividends that you’re happy with then consider replacing these with some new long tail keyword phrases, while still working on those main root keywords as your long term commitment.
Test Phase:
This is often the most overlooked phase by even the most seasoned Internet Marketers.
Before you go out and break your back and spend hundreds of hours doing SEO for your website, wouldn’t it be nice to know that the product or service that you’re promoting will actually convert and make you money?
Through a Pay Per Click you can quickly launch a campaign using the keywords that you selected and if you making money or just breaking even, then you will know that it is worth your investment in moving forward.
However, if find that you’re not making any sales or conversions then it wise to re-evaluate the keywords that you have selected and/or to focus on the conversion factors on your website.
Repeat Phase:
As you travel in your journey to operating a successful online business you will want to remember that common phrase written on shampoo bottles” wash, rinse, repeat” in that as long as you’re marketing your business, these same set of instructions used to wash your hair should also be applied to any facet of online marketing that makes you successful.
Review:
Lets again quickly review these 7 simple, but powerful phases of keyword research that we will be covering with you in this chapter of your SEO Roadmap Video Training Series.
 1. Brainstorming – Identifying your perfect audience and the keywords they would use
 2. Categorizing – We will then categorize these keywords into specific topic areas
 3. Keyword Research – We will use the various keyword tools such as the Google Keyword tool, Insights for search, the Google Wonder Wheel, Market Samuari, Word Tracker and SpyFu and save the data into a spread sheet
 4. Review- We will then review the various keywords and then sort them on the volume of search, the competitiveness and remove keywords from our list that may not have enough search volume, are just too competitive, or are just not relevant for our website
 5. Select – We will then go through our list and based upon the rule of 5, select the keywords that we would want to target in the launch of our new campaign
 6. Test – We will then test the keywords for conversion using PPC to make sure that they can make us money, before we start our SEO campaign
 7. Wash, Rinse, And Repeat.

Strategies to drive traffic using twitter

Diposting oleh Admin on Selasa, 24 Mei 2011

If you are thinking of using the social media to promote and drive more traffic to your website and blogs then twitter is one of the options that you could rely on and make the best use of your tweets and retweets.
Discussed here are some of the best ways to promote traffic to your website using twitter:

Follow people
In twitter you do not add friends but follow people and in turn they will follow you. When you are trying to follow people follow those whom you know and then through them follow many more new people and also you can follow groups who are related to your business.

Use Twitter Search
Do a relevant twitter search choosing appropriate keywords and follow all the people who are in your niche and you will find more people in your business sector and you can get to know how your competitors are performing well by following them and finding different solutions.

Keep Tweeting
When The thumb rule is to keep tweeting, this mean not tweet 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week, do so only one or two hours in a day to begin with and later on following your tweet build up, tweet once or twice in a week and so on depending on your business and the purpose you tweet for. If you are tweeting only for business, you will not be able to drive much traffic to your website and blog if you are small business owner a simple idea that works well is to tweet only two out of five tweets in a day about your business, and the rest are about related and interesting informative topics. Spend your time on choosing these tweets and you will find traffic to your website increasing considerably.

Complete your bio
Research shows that Tweeps (jargon for Twitter users) who have a complete bio, including a personal profile picture (not an icon!), a location, and a short blurb about themselves have eight times more followers than those who don’t. They are also 15 times more likely to have power followers, or Tweeps with a high Twitter Grade. You are limited to 160 characters for your Twitter bio, so make every word count. Write about your interests and hobbies but don’t use it to promote your company or product. Make sure to include a link to your website. Twitter users who have done so are 22 times more likely to have power followers.

Get followers using Tweepi:
Once you have established a number of Tweeps whose Tweets you can enjoy, you can leverage their Twitter follower base to add to yours using Tweepi’s Geeky Follow tool. Simply enter the screen

Automate your tweets
Tweeting is extremely addictive and if you’re not careful, it could take over your life. Fortunately, many Twitter applications, both paid and free, have been launched that allow Tweeps to schedule their tweets in the future and even automate their tweets. This allows you to Tweet interesting links to your followers and drive more traffic to your website even when you’re asleep. Sites like Hootsuite, TweetAdder and SocialOomph are good places to start.

Share your personality

Don’t just bombard your Twitter followers with a constant stream of links. Mix it up with tweets about your activities, your interests, and maybe even some quotes that you find intriguing. The point is to let your followers know that there is a real person behind the Twitter account, not simply an automated bot that constantly recycles tweets about your content.

Build friendships

Connecting with your followers is a great way to increase traffic to your website. Reply to their tweets, retweet their tweets, and generally socialize with your new Twitter friends. Having a good retweeting buddy means that you can access your buddy’s follower base as well, thus widening your message’s reach. Always thank someone who retweets your links and return the favor. Also, don’t forget to give a Follow Friday shoutout to your new Twitter buddies.

Use hashtags
Using hashtags in Twitter are like using tags on Flickr or adding categories to your blog. It adds an extra layer of data to your tweets, where users can simply click on the hashtag to see a list of tweets that also include that hashtag. To add a hashtag, simply include the “#” symbol before a keyword. Don’t forget to use CamelCase. For example, tweet “#NewYork” instead of “#New York.” However, Twitter etiquette dictates that you should use hashtags sparingly, so never use more than three or four hashtags in a single tweet.

12 Things You Should NOT Do In Blogging

Diposting oleh Admin

do not read this sign e1304613583424 8 Things That You Should NOT Do In Blogging
If you are blogging then you will have one aim in common with other bloggers, more traffic, more traffic and more traffic. This is not at all as there are millions of people around the world to read your blog and this not going to be a very competent job for you if you know these 8 things that should not be done in blogging.Here we go,

Do Not Expect Success Without Promoting

Do not expect success without promoting as you have to go to the readers and do not expect the readers to find your great contents. Submit your articles to article directories where people will find you and use hyperlinks to let them know more about you and your blog when they are reading these articles. There are umpteen numbers of things that you can do to promote you and your blogs.

Avoid time lags between your posts

It is very important that you publish your posts in time and therefore do not stop posting regularly. Even if you are not able to post regularly on a daily basis, post once in a week, once in a month or once in a fortnight. Make it a habit as even you can schedule posts in platforms like wordpress.

Do not have too many advertisements on your blog

When you are placing ads, place them either on the side of the posts or on the top or the bottom of the posts. Too many ads are like too many cooks who will spoil your posts and not the broth this time. Cluttering with ads will irritate potential readers and make them leave easily.

Don’t Be Anonymous

Write an useful About me or About us page, which will tell your readers more about you like who you are and how qualified you are as a blogger and in the topic you have written. If you are an expertise on a specific area of interest then your blog will be unique and interesting.

Do not fill your blogs with hodgepodge information

Write a more meaningful and informative blogpost, which means that even if you write a post of 500 words it should be filled with information and a SE optimized one.

Don’t forget to proof read

Whatever you write on the blog is going to be there forever, even after you die, so is better to proof read your blogposts.

Don’t forget to link

Link to your posts and the sources of information, as giving the due credit will not only authenticate the information on your blogs but also will bring in more traffic when you back link your posts to your and others posts on similar topics.

Do Not Expect Overnight Results

Blogging is not a means of making overnight results, and you cannot make money with one or two posts to make some good money. You need to work initially until you establish your blog, and once established there is room for everyone. If you had been thinking blogging as a bed of roses, then you are wrong. You have the thickets of thorns to reach that level in blogging.

Respect Other Bloggers

As mentioned elsewhere, there is room for everyone in the world of blogging, this is important that you work hard and smart causing no harm to your fellow bloggers. You need not try to find faults to establish yourself, and all you need to do is work mutually with your fellow blogger or a blogger who is on the top in your niche. Work on your niche and do not lose your reputation by being a bad blogger by stealing your fellow bloggers information.

Do Not Fail To Update Your Blog Regularly

This is a good habit to update your blog on a daily basis, but this is not possible always. You can keep a schedule to update your blogs, like once in two days, once in a week, or in a month. But see that you update the blog regularly and systematically with good quality work at the least until you establish yourself. Once you build your reputation, try to maintain that if you are finding this hard to go higher, as in the blogging world there is no end on the top.

You Must Not Ignore Your Readers

If you are blogging as a career, then your readers are your assets, and you need to do the needful by providing interesting information to your readers and write interestingly to keep them engaged. Write interestingly, differently and show your dedication in your writing. Happy and satisfied reader and visitors will turn into your regular visitors of your blogs thereby increasing the traffic. Write more about what your readers want.

Do Not Ignore Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Many bloggers do not even know what SEO is. Learn more about offline and online SEO and see that if your blogs are SEO optimized for most of the prominent search engines, and especially if you could get them optimized for search engines like Google and Yahoo, then you will find your blog getting popular and bigger.

Let us know if you are following these things or have some tips to share. Comments are always appreciated!!

SEO Tips for Blogger Blogs

Diposting oleh Admin

After reading this article you will come to know that which are the things you need to perform SEO for Blogger Blogs , This Complete Guideline is just for blogger blogs. Read this post very slowly and concentrate on the code portions where you need to do change in your XML (Layout > Edit HTML) code to accomplish our SEO for blogger Users. Below is the step by step procedure for doing that.

Page Title

SEO for Blogger - Page Title

Standard page title for a single Blogger post is BLOG TITLE: POST TITLE. You can improve SEO by changing the title tags to POST TITLE | BLOG TITLE. Find this code in your XML template,

<data:blog.pageTitle/>

replace with this code,

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>

<data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/>

<b:else/>

<data:blog.pageTitle/>

</b:if>

Meta Keywords and Description

SEO for Blogger - Meta Keywords

Some blogger expert have written tutorials about how to add meta keywords and description. It is very easy, you need to add this code after title tag above or before <b:skin>/*

Example:

But, this code add same meta keywords & description to all posts. It is not good because you will find a warning at Google Webmaster Tools because duplicate meta keywords & description are detected. So, it is better if you only add meta keywords & description to the homepage. For example, you can add this code,

<b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>

</b:if>

Header Title

SEO for Blogger - Heading Title

Heading Tag (H1, H2, H3, H4, H5) is also important for SEO. All of Blogger widgets (gadgets) title use H2 tags. But, Minima Template use H3 tag for post title and many blogger templates use H2 tag for post title. To improve SEO, you need to use H1 tag for post title. For example, find this code,

<b:if cond='data:post.title'>

<b:if cond='data:post.link'>
<data:post.title/>
<b:else/>
<b:if cond='data:post.url'>
<data:post.title/>
<b:else/>
<data:post.title/>
</b:if>
</b:if>

</b:if>

his example shows that your template use H3 tag for post title (If you don't find it, your template may use H2 tag for post title). Replace H3 (or H2) at this code with H1, for example,

<b:if cond='data:post.title'>

<b:if cond='data:post.link'>
<data:post.title/>
<b:else/>
<b:if cond='data:post.url'>
<data:post.title/>
<b:else/>
<data:post.title/>
</b:if>
</b:if>

</b:if>

And you need to change post title font size by adding this code before </b:skin>
h1.post-title, .post h1 #Blog1 h1, #Blog2 h1 { font-size:1.5em; }
For example, i use 1.5em font size. You can change it if you want.

10+ Faqs Regarding AdSense you should know

Diposting oleh Admin

Few days back I have shared how to earn with Google AdSense and now I’m sharing FAQS about invalid clicks and keeping your account in good standing.

Do read:
10 Common Ad Placement Mistakes (Google Adsense Policies)
10 Ways to earn money from Google AdSense

How long has AdSense been going?

AdSense was launched in March 2003. Check out their Press Release.

How much money can I make from AdSense?

There's no simple answer (yet). Google doesn't disclose what fraction of click thru revenues it pays to AdSense participants and then there are all the other factors: site traffic, keyword values, click thru rates and so on. If you really want to know how to improve have a look at Optimising Strategies

Can anyone sign up to the AdSense program?

No. Google lays down some fairly specific policies that must be adhered to before a site can be accepted on the AdSense program and then there are other less clearly defined criteria that must be satisfied. You also need to generate a wonderfully under-whelming 2 clicks per month from your site.

What's the difference between AdWords and AdSense?

A lot and a little and the terminology takes a bit of getting used to. (And what's the singular of AdWords too for that matter?!). AdWords is Google's proprietary advertising service that produces those prim text-only ads on the right hand side of its search results page. All revenues from AdWords ads that show on Google go to Google.
AdSense is Google's syndication program for its AdWords ads. Any AdWords ads that are syndicated out to third party website do so via Google's AdSense program. Ads seen via the AdSense program are AdWords ads posted on third party sites.
So AdWords are the ads. AdSense is the syndication program.

What other services compete with AdSense?

Any online syndicated ad service to a degree is a competitor but the closest we know of in function are Sprinks, a divison of PRIMEDIA and Content Match (Overture). However, on 24th October 2003 Google acquired Sprinks - they posted support information for Sprinks users.
More details about Content Match

What fraction of click thru income does Google pay out?

They won't say at the moment. People monitoring their own AdWords and AdSense statistics are trying to pin it down but it makes sense for Google to keep it quite generous because the web rumour mill would quickly start churning out bad karma if anyone seriously sensed the payments were miserly.

Why did Google launch AdSense?

Google has always wanted to make money - it is a business after all largely owned by Venture Capitalists. But Google's fundamental philosophy has been about helping people find the information they want on the web without cluttering up the process with a bazillion ads that flashed and blinked everywhere. So they started off developing AdWords on the basis that they were discrete, text-only and RELEVANT to the searcher. You rarely see AdWords ads that are of no relevance to you - partly because any vaguely smart advertiser won't want to waste time targeting unlikely customer bases, and more significantly, because web users can effectively vote off irrelevant ads: an AdWords ad that fails to get a decent click thru rate (0.5%) gets shoved into hibernation by Google.
AdWords thus enabled Google to make money whilst remaining largely faithful to their philosophy - ads were small and useful and relevant. So then they began to think about expanding the program to third party sites, sites that in many cases were already using Google as a search tool. It made sense to do this because it increased Google's revenues without detracting from the user experience. Initially Google worked with major partner sites and once this all worked fine, they broadened out the program to AdSense - to exploit the commercial opportunities created by their excellent search technology.

Is AdSense good or bad?

It's good and the reason is that it will encourage many smaller information rich sites to grow and provide even more valuable and interesting content for web users. In the past many really interesting sites have been posted by topic enthusiasts and the process has cost them money, particularly in the early days when domain names were expensive and so was hosting. Even now though, to post and host a decent website takes cash and it certainly takes time. So these enthusiasts were typing away with no reward save for a growing guest book and increasing site traffic (or not!). AdSense empowers many of these sites to make a bit of money and recover their costs or even make a profit. And there's a loose sort of equation too - more interesting and valuable content = more AdSense payouts.
Therefore whether you like the idea of making money from your site or of getting excellent informational resources online, AdSense is good.

Do all AdWords ads get included in the AdSense program?

No. There are three hurdles that have to be gotten over. First, the advertiser has to agree to content targeted ads when he sets up his AdWords campaign. Secondly, the Google editorial team must find the ad acceptable for inclusion in AdSense. Thirdly, the ad mustn't be from a site specifically disallowed by the AdSense participant.
On this third point, AdSense participants can prohibit ads from competitors whose website will almost certainly be similar in content to their own.

How can I find out how much an AdWords keyword costs?

The easiest way for AdWords advertisers is to use their AdWords control panel to enter keywords into the keyword selection tool with a trial price and see what ad position Google reports back on the estimate page. An alternative route is to enter the keyword (or phrase) into Google and see how many AdWords ads show up. If there are fewer than 8, the bottom one costs 5c although the price paid for higher positions may be well in excess of this. Google states that the highest price for a keyword is set at $50!

How can I find out which keywords are worth the most?

You can find a relative value by visiting FindWhat.com. This is a useful tool if you want to plan which keywords to slant your site content towards (although FindWhat doesn't have anything like the market penetration of Google and so may not report useful data on obscure keywords and its price won't be the same as Google's.)

Do I have to use AdWords to join AdSense?

No.

Does AdSense participation have any impact on my site's ranking on Google?

There are some rumours going around that becoming an AdSense participant can help your site in the ranking but nothing definite has been proved yet.

I run an enthusiasts site. Could I make any money from AdSense?

Absolutely. If you think of Google at least partly as a philanthropic organisation, then AdSense will help enthusiasts get some rewards for their labours. All that high quality content you post could help you get some money provided there is some commercial relevance to your sites content - and there usually is.

Is there a minimum click thru level I have to achieve to stay in AdSense?

Yes there is. You need to get at least two clicks a month.

How does Google stop people cheating and clicking on ads on their site?

They don't tell you their techniques - but you can be sure as hell that they are pretty clever about this. Think about their position. AdWords / AdSense is a major source of revenue for Google and growing fast. They don't want to kill this income stream off by turning advertisers off do they? No, so they will be working very hard on this one. If you are an AdSense participant, you'd be crazy to do it. Google even goes so far as to state that you can't test an ad on your site even once!

What's the best way of keeping in touch with AdSense developments?

Sign up to our newsletter.

How do I make more money from from AdSense?

Most people work backwards: they have a site and then think about monetizing it with AdSense and this is Google's preferred route.
However, a more rational approach would be as follows:
Find a series of related products or services that a multitude of companies advertise using AdWords and high value keywords.
Create a website that supplies a range of information about subjects commercially related to those products and services i.e. that people who buy these products or services are likely to seek out on the internet.
Submit the site to Google's AdSense program.
Promote the hell out of the site with ezines, viral marketing techniques (especially ebooks), AdWords, other pay per click systems, PR. In short, you name, you do it.
Bank the checks.
